Le Dix. The real Balenciaga has come back

At Balenciaga things are going in the right direction. Recruiting Alexander Wang as new creative director was a wise move (I don't mean that Nicolás Ghesquière work was bad at all). This fall collection looks really good. But the best is just arriving. New Yorker designer has created a new handbag for the French maison. Influences from Balenciaga's heritage are even presented at seams. First, the name. Le Dix. Number 10 of Avenue George V in Paris housed the designer from Getaria's atellier. Second, Le Dix is also the first and the most iconic esence at Balenciaga, released during summer 1946. Third, Le Dix is all architecture, straight lines, space construction. It is launched this month at Balenciaga stores and I guess that it's already included in many wishlists; at least, it is already in position number one of mine.
